The ITC story actually started with an informal get-together between one of its co-founders, Dr. Stanley M. Yuen with the then Secretary General of China's State Council, Mr. Luo Gan (currently a politburo member), in July of 1992 in Long Wood Garden, Delaware. The idea of organizing a delegation to promote U.S.-China business co-operation with a technology focus was formed. After a lot of preparation work carried out by both sides, the "Chinese-American Science & Technology Delegation" was finally organized and visited China in December of 1992. Many business discussions took place and important working relationships were formed during the visit. To facilitate these jointly identified commercial opportunities, ITC was formally registered in Hong Kong in 1993 (and later independently in Guangzhou, China). Since then, ITC has been providing various technology and business consulting, marketing, and project management services to many organizations in China, especially those under the Ministry of Aerospace Industry, Ministry of Information Industry, and the former Ministry of Electronic Industry.
